  • STEM activities for new students

    When new students arrive at TEA they are initially based in The Achieve Zone. This is a time and place where the needs of every student can be identified. These are identified by students completing baseline assessments, meeting with their PLA and working with others on STEM Challenges. We hope that students take these skills into the wider school community, developing those soft skills that so many careers need, and so many students lack – skills like communication, problem solving, critical thinking, crea

    PE kits at the ready - this week Active Fusion are beginning their work with the children of Highfields and all key stage 1 and 2 children will be working with Miss Pyne over this first term. We are beginning with gymnastics.

  • European Week of Languages

    22nd September 2017 - Garforth Academy

    Week commencing 25th September is European Week of Languages.

     

    A number of fun activities have been organised by the languages department. Students may get the opportunity to take part in quizzes, flamenco dancing, language taster sessions, pizza and tortilla making competitions … to name but a few.

    On Wednesday 27th September students can buy croissants and pain au chocolat from staff in the MFL leisure area. The event takes place at 1st break – don’t forget your money as thumb prints aren’t accepted. …….50p

  • Y11 INFORMATION EVENING 27/09/17

    21st September 2017 - Ash Hill Academy

    On Wednesday 27th September 2017, Ash Hill Academy will be hosting an Information Evening for Parents and Carers of our current Year 11 students. Although the event is formally starting at 6pm, there will be a light buffet available from 5.30pm. The evening is an opportunity for parents, carers and Y11 students to receive key information about the current Year 11.

  • Pencils for Grenfell Campaign

    21st September 2017 - De Lacy Academy

    Students at De Lacy ran a campaign to collect writing equipment to send to Ark Burlington Danes Academy for students affected by the Grenfell fire. We had a great response from students and staff to this appeal.

    All donations have been greatly received by Ark Burlingtons, we had this letter from them today to thank our students. Well done De Lacy!

  • De Lacy Academy Post 16 Market Place

    21st September 2017 - De Lacy Academy

    De Lacy Academy are hosting a Market Place on Wednesday 27th September for all year 10 and 11 students and parents to come along and meet local colleges and businesses. There will be lots of information on hand about college courses, apprenticeship, traineeships and careers advice in general.

    The main hall will be open from 4.30pm to 6pm, come along and have a chat with us to see what there is on offer.
